What amazes me is that Coburn and Inhofe both characterize themselves as Christians. Neither one of them knows anything about it. Their actions are so vicious, hateful, bigoted and deceitful that they are closer to the forces of evil than the forces of good. Why is it that Oklahoma has produced and supported these two very negative politicians? What is so painfully toxic about that State? Are people there pitifully undereducated, backward, or just full of venom? Fundamentalist Christians abound in Oklahoma. It certainly speaks volumes about that branch of religious practice. I am weary of both of these men. I cant see much positive about them. Unfortunately, they fit right in with the current crop of Republicans. They do not care on iota for the welfare of the citizens of this country. The polarization, inability to effect change, and the hatemongering and violent rhetoric can all be laid at the feet of the Republican Party. They arent the Grand Old Party. They are Greedy Obdurate Politicians. They care ONLY about the rich, wealthy and well-connected. Of course, plenty of Dems are the same way. However, for the most part, other than the Blue Dogs, Democrats are far more civil. As long as the citizens of this country support charlatans in office, our country will continue to deteriorate.

the health care legislation leaves a lot to be desired but i find myself rooting for it just because the right is so vehemently against it. if you visit redstate they are pretty much ready to burn down the white house and the capital in order to save both from godless communists. gonna take some time to wash the “nasty” that ronnie reagan so effectively nurtured out of our body politic.

The people of Oklahoma have chosen to be represented by these two bags of wind. One has the right to assume then, that the love of ignorance is their guiding light and unbridled hatred is their mantra. The Talibangelists thrive on the lizard brains of Oklahomans.
I wrote Doctor Senator Tom Coburn a letter in a manner he can understand, I prayed for him to be forgiven for his death wish for Senator Byrd because I feared he may not have the capacity to realize that his words would be offensive to God and an anathema to the teachings of Jesus. I told him that while it is unfortunate that some have closed eyes and deaf ears to the plight and the cries of the suffering and vulnerable, it is Hippocratic hypocrisy when a doctor exhibits that callousness. Yes, I prayed for him and wished him and his family the peace that so many others will not have this season because they worry about the fate of ill loved ones whose one small glimmer of hope lies in the hands of the money changers.
An excert from the modern version of the oath, taken by most medical school graduates:

I wouldnt let Coburn treat my dog. If he is as callous a doctor as he is a senator, then he is one poor excuse for a human being. As a nurse, I have known some excellent physicians, and some who should not have gone to medical school. They have the “Doctor IS God” syndrome so badly, they cannot see the patient for their own arrogance and greed.Coburn appears to be one of these individuals. He is toxic and infects everything he touches with his purulence.
