There once was a man named Joe
He couldn’t contain his hate though
So he yelled out “You Lie!”
His childish outburst shows why
The rethugs are the party of NO.
No healthcare for you!
No empathy too!
No bills will get through!
We hate you! hiss, boo!
You lie!, screamed the manchild, named Joe.
Channeling Lou Dobbs, don’t ya know
Racists thrilled with delight
Liberals shut down his site
And the GOP found a new low.

It would be interesting to see how much money he brings in. I’m sure there are a people out there that couldn’t care less about health care but would donate because they have a “Anybody that calls Obama a liar is okay in my book.” mentality.

The bad news is he has raised money from the bigots, hatemongers and the thoroughly ignorant. The good news is his Democratic oponent has raised thousands and is ahead one point. They stated the amounts on Keith Olbermann’s Show, but I cant remember the totals.

There once was a man named Joe.
He was full of bluster and blow.
His manners were crude,
His attitude rude.
The Far-Right has fostered his mood.
Civility is not their way.
Nastiness rules them all day.
They yell and they shout,
Their hatred they flout.
Dont you wish they would just go away?!
A fool and their money soon part.
To Joe they will donate their heart.
The lower he goes,
The more he sure shows
How the Far-Right is way off the chart.

I liked your limerick, as well. The Far Right has indeed found a new low.

As of this morning, I see Joe Wilson is receiving Wingnut-welfare to prop up his campaign and counter the huge sums being donated to his opponent.
But that’s not what worries me most.
Obama said in his interview that demanding an apology on the floor of the house is just another “circus” and will distract from the debate over healthcare. I have a message for the President:
IT DOESN’T MATTER!
The neocons are going to create a circus no matter what…either over Joe Wilson or how many idiots can fit on the head of a pin….we might as well make them look like the uncivilized asses they really are because you’re never going to get a single repub vote in the house or senate anyway…the Health Care reform bill will be a democratic party effort alone…they repubs will talk compromise;they’ll talk bipartisanship but in the end they’ll vote straight party line…
(remember Mr. President, they already did this to you once before)
Go ahead and make a fuss over Wilson…then put the Health care bill that is best for the country on the floor and vote on it! Crack the party whip and pass it with your Democratic majority…the Repubs won’t join you anyway.
(by the way…the simplest bill….is to delete the 65 year old age limit for meidcare….IOW Medicare for all!)

Yes! Medicare for all. We already have the bureaucracy in place. The trouble is that it scares the hell out of seniors who love their medicare and don’t want it messed with. So many people, for different reasons, want to keep kicking that can down the road. It’s just selfish and shortsighted and cowardly. It’s the old “not in my backyard” conundrum.

The Rethuglicant’s will indeed argue over “how many idiots will fit on the head of a pin”! Good one. I havent laughed so hard in a long time. That is all they are currently good for- – running a three ring circus with Rush Limbaugh as ringmaster.

The House couldn’t even get Wilson to apologize to Congress. One has to ask “just how ineffective can a government body truly be?” Obama accepted Wilson’s apology when he should’ve called him a jackass like he did Kanye West. It would’ve made things much clearer all the way around. You don’t see anyone making a stink over his ‘jackass’ comment because it was the truth. He should try it more often, and he should use it on those higher up the food chain than a rap singer. ABC has even apologized for outing the comment, what a concept!
