After reading that column, I decided Paul Krugman and I must share some DNA. He stated very succinctly what I have been feeling for quite some time now.
My opinion is that once a living, breathing homo sapiens gets to Washington, it metamorphs into something else that lacks common sense or any kind of sensitivity. The head gets too big for the body and begins to bend toward the backside. This causes all kinds of problems, not the least of which is government dysfunction, bad judgement, and overlooking the obvious.
